Contests 2011 - Photograph Contest - 2011

It is not enough to look in order to see. It is important to be able to stop for a moment and notice details, and observe what escapes careless eye. And what has seen the eye of your lense?

"Bieszczady - history covered with grass" this is the title of our this year's Photograph Contest.

VERDICT OF THE JURY OF THE PHOTOGRAPH CONTEST

On the 27 July 2011 the Jury consisting of:

    * Albin Marciniak - jurnalist, traveller, photographer chairman of the Travellers Club Śródziemie
    * Krzysztof Knapik - traveller, photographer
    * Oskar Svensson – photographer, special guest
    * Marta Gryczon (Jury secretary)

having familiarised with received works have chosen laureates of the photograph contest

”Bieszczady – history covered with grass" the Jury awarded:

    * special prize and the prize of Travellers Club Śródziemie – Marek Majerczak, emblem NORD from Grywałd, for photograph: Płynie czas i zaciera ślady
    * prize – Andrzej Wojnar, emblem GIO from Kraków, for a cycle of photographs Karmel
    * prize - Marek Kusiak, emblem MARKUS from Tarnawa Dolna, for a photograph Tajemnice bieszczadzkich zarośli

Above all that, the Jury have decided to award two equal distinctions:

    * Radosław Kaźmierczak, emblem FOTO KAZZ from Sanok, for a photograph Zapomniany tartak, for „showing peace and floating of time”
    * Małgorzata Kowarska, emblem GOHS from Pabianice, for a photograph Konie na Caryńskiej, for „direct expression of the air of the Bieszczady"

The Jury would like to thank warmly all the authors who have sent their works to the Contest. They also encourage to participate in next edditions of the contest.

Special thanks to Piwnica pod Baranami for making accessible the rooms and creating atmosphere for solving the contest.

The finale of the photograph contest "Bieszczady - history covered with grass" will take place on Thursday 11th August 2011 in the Municipal centre of Culture and Ecology in Cisna.
